Your kitchen stays in your kitchen. What lives on your device, what a photo does, and what we never collect.
Almost everything in Dishfin lives only on your device: your household, never-lists, kitchen, garden, feel check-ins and snaps are stored locally and work with no account and no connection. Guest mode is a complete mode, not a trial.
Photos you snap stay on your device. A photo leaves the device only at the moment you ask for it to be read, sent to the photo-reading service for that one reading, and the standing requirement for that service is that photos are not kept or used for training. You can delete any photo at any time from Snap history.
Dishfin has no analytics SDKs and no advertising. We do not sell data, and there is no data to sell: we never collect calories, weight, or how much any child ate, the app deliberately has no field for those things.
If you choose to sign in with an email code, that exists only for backup and sync of your own data. Signing in is optional, forever.
Barcode lookups, if you enable them later, ask a public food database about a product code. That lookup is kept separate from your kitchen data and is labelled where it appears.
You can export everything the app holds about you, and delete all of it, from Settings, at any time, without contacting anyone.
